Unlike many, my cooking journey on Instagram has started as a result of a personal trauma. Multiple events happened in my life that I had absolutely no control over and left me with post trauma depression. I remember that I started uploading the very first pictures of my plates in my darkest times in the darkest winter of 2020.
It all started with distracting myself with something that I am not necessarily passionate about rather curious about. Eventually, moving forward with several dishes, I found comfort and joy in being able to predict and control the outcome in cooking. I found satisfaction in knowing that I could always mix sugar and egg white, and it will always become meringue.
Now looking back, it feels like the whole experience was sort of post traumatic growth. After a year and a few months I do believe in this quote “The only choice that we can make when things happen beyond our control is our repose” because I have lived it and breathed it. Now, I would like to invite you all to join my journey on this page.
You can subscribe to weekly emails where I share recipes that I don’t share anywhere else.
